Progressive Group Swim Lessons  (ages 6 - 15)

The progressive swim program is for children ages 6-15 years old and each child progresses at his or her own pace. Each level incorporates stroke development, endurance, games, personal growth, and safety skills. For all sessions, we will be offering "block" swim lessons. You may sign up your child for a "block" of time once a week. A skill screen test will be done on the first day of class. Your child will then be placed in a class with other students near the same skill level. Classes will run at the same time once per week. An advantage to this type of program registration is that families with multiple children may sign up for one time slot. You may sign up for the time that fits your schedule regardless of the swim level of your child. We hope this format will eliminate the cancellation of classes and instructors will still follow the YMCA progressive swim lesson program and test children on their skills.
