Mission
The mission of Early Head Start (EHS) is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, enhance the development of very young children and promote healthy families.

Welcome to the Early Head Start and Y-Pals Childcare & Learning Program

The Early Head Start staff would like to take this opportunity to welcome families to experience the outstanding early education program available for their infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We are proud to have an entire staff that is dedicated to providing quality childcare. Our trained, professional staff are excited to work with you and your family to build a mutually trusting partnership so that each of our children receive the building blocks necessary to succeed both emotionally and academically in a warm and caring environment. Our program offers an open door policy which welcomes any suggestions that would assist us in the care for your child in the most nurturing way possible.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions, regarding the Lake County family YMCA Early Head Start Program.

Sincerely,

Kay Petersen
